Review: I was lucky enough to see The Spectacular Now screening at the front, and walk, I had the distinct feeling that I can only describe as a good movie buzz. Only Feeling a little light on your feet. You're not just thinking about what you've just seen, but how it applies to you. Story from his heart all distills beauty, tenderness, and apocalyptic bleakness young 95-minute love story portrays teenagers in the most honest way, because the films of John Hughes. The Spectacular Now won the Sundance Special Jury Prize for acting and within minutes, the reason clearly. Beautiful, naturalistic performances all around. Miles Teller portrays Sutter Keely bustling with charm and charisma, while Aimee finicky Shailene Woodley imbued with a tender shyness makes her incredibly endearing character. When the two of them on screen together, their chemistry is not only obvious, are intoxicating. And not just the film held together by its performance. Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber wrote an incredibly likeable scenario yet flawed characters you can not help but root for, and James Ponsoldt's fine right script to do his best film to date. The Spectacular Now it is much more than the other indie darling. She breathed life teen movie genre by treating the characters with maturity and honesty. This is the coming of age movie of our time.
