Review: You know how you use those nasty comments from people complaining about how the movie is nothing like reading the book? And they do not. I will say that they have made no change (other than age recruits who obviously needed to do to the narrative film making bootable.) Enders game something important a good movie as possible was much better than I expected and surprisingly so considering he was is a development hell with different names attached. Turns out Gavin Hood is a director to make this life. Design and production values are excellent, and I especially enjoyed the animated sequences where Ender has a computer game created unique to him. Cast was almost perfect and they all played with conviction. I was impressed from the start by the way the film is clear that Ender so rapidly advancing, because he is a brilliant strategist and Asa Butterfield is a good enough actor to convey that resorting to over-acting. Without resorting The film does not detract from the brutality of the lives of these young recruits run lead, at least not within the confines of a film 12A and the end is shocking and moving as it should. My only real criticism of the film is that it is too short, not something you often hear from me. Ender just seems to progress quickly and miss some of the nuances and the real problems he encounters along the way. Unless the planned sequels we probably could have done without the Enders family background and relationship with her sister and brother and devoted more School.Overall although fighting, this film is worth a long period. This gives more than we had a right to expect. Orson Scott Card may be homophobic, but powerful message at the heart of this film says much more than the average Hollywood film is able to deliver.
