Review: Right off the bat, I will answer a question I know many are dying to be answered: Did it follow the book more? The answer: Yes. . . marginal. I hated the first film all its deviations from the source material, but I understand that some. If changes to the first film got angry beyond belief, just know now that this film makes an attempt little more than to stick with Rick Riordan material and you probably will not enjoy this movie better than the first. If loyalty to the source material is not the first priority, I'd recommend you investigate this film. You might just find you enjoy it.The plot: Percy and his friends embark on a quest to save their home from invaded by monsters. To do this, they must dive into the heart of Sea Monsters and retrieve a mythical object, Golden Fleece, which has the power to restore power to the shields to protect their home.NEGATIVES:-Not enough time actually spent in Large Monsters. A little corny dialogue, CGI has always been top-notch few scenes left me wondering what was the point of that? Lack of Chris Becks wonderful musical notes, even if the new composer was alright.POSITIVES: Good + action + a lot of laughs + + decent incentive to develop good character Nathan Fillion + + characters in the film were real counterparts their book, even if a good chunk of the plot was + Quantity welcome sincere moments + Alexandra Daddario beautiful eyesOkay last one was just me. All around, its a fun movie. The crowd loves this film will consist mostly of those who enjoyed the first film, but everyone can also check out. There is a good chance you will be pleasantly surprised. (After all, how many films are there to see in August, really?) Well, Fox! Bring on the titans curse!
